Gene has 25 years of experience serving nonprofit organizations, primarily in the western United States. He is considered one of the region’s foremost authorities in the fields of estate planning, planned giving, and advancement. He writes regularly for regional and national publications and speaks in conference settings all over the country. He serves on Planned Giving Today’s advisory board. He has been quoted several times in the Chronicle of Philanthropy and has been asked to testify before Oregon state Congress on matters involving charitable tax planning. He is seasoned, and has been successful, in virtually every aspect of the development profession. He conducts visioning and strategic planning sessions for the organizations he serves, provides internal program audits, feasibility and campaign planning assistance, multi-faceted marketing plan development, board presentations, and recruitment services.
