GiftLegacy Awards Announced at PPGC!


Crescendo celebrated its Annual Practical Planned Giving Conference on September 28 - 29 in Orlando. It was a great event attended by friends from all across the nation. They gathered to hear an excellent line-up of leading speakers and presentations. The theme of the conference was "Inspiring the Depths of Giving" with keynote speakers Steve Leimberg and Kivi Leroux Miller. In addition, the GiftLegacy Award winners were announced.

Website Award

The Best GiftLegacy Website Award was presented to Casa Dorinda. Their planned giving website (casadorindagift.org) features a clean design with large photos that seamlessly blend with their main website. Casa Dorinda's website includes branded donor presentations, social media links, timely news articles and more. Congratulations also to Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale Foundation (www.bgcsfoundation.org) and the University of New England (plannedgiving.une.edu) who received Honorable Mention in the website category.

Literature Award

The Best GiftLegacy Literature Award was presented to the National Trust for Historic Preservation for their beautifully branded suite of marketing materials including brochures, postcards, Provide & Protect book, bequest marketing literature and more. Honorable Mention was awarded to the University of New Hampshire and The United States Air Force Academy Endowment.

eMarketer Award

Congratulations to Julie Heggeness, Executive Director, Gift Planning at Hoag Hospital Foundation who received the coveted 2015 eMarketer of the Year Award. Julie responded to the news of the award saying, "When I came on board, we went exclusively with Crescendo and are extremely happy, both with the product, pricing and the customer service. HHF uses the Crescendo enewsletters (donor and advisor), brochures, print newsletter, website, software, marketing materials and plan, wills guide, bequest literature, basically all Crescendo has to offer." Over the past three years HHF has raised over $55 Million in planned gifts!

GiftLeader Award

The GiftLeader for 2015 is Kathryn Miree, an Alabama attorney who is a past president of the National Committee on Planned Giving, the Alabama Planned Giving Council and the Estate Planning Council of Birmingham. She serves on numerous charitable boards and authored Building A Planned Giving Program, The Family Foundation Handbook (with Jerry J. McCoy) and The Professional Advisor's Guide to Planned Giving. Kathryn is a national authority on charitable planning and successful nonprofit fundraising methods.
